Four rooms, one house
However the house is laid out, there is a shelf here for it.
The porch
Lanterns, rope mats and weatherproof seating built to be left out.
The kitchen
Glazed stoneware, linen cloths and boards worn smooth by use.
The bedroom
Washed linen bedding in shell, fog and deep harbour navy.
The dock
Totes, towels and the things that live permanently in the boot.
New arrivals
Added this month, in runs small enough that most will not be restocked.
Made for weather,
not for display
Brass that patinas instead of flaking, linen that softens instead of pilling, glazes fired to survive a dishwasher. Coastal houses are hard on things, so we build accordingly.
View the collectionSolid brass, never plated
Plating lifts within a season near the water. Solid brass just darkens, which is the point.
One palette throughout
Navy, shell and sand. Everything sits with everything else.
Pre-washed
Soft on day one.
Packed in paper
No plastic, ever.
From the house
The lanterns have been on our porch through three winters and they have gone a beautiful dark bronze instead of falling apart.
Bought the linen set expecting to have to break it in. It arrived already soft, which almost never happens.
Everything I have ordered over two years still matches everything else. That sounds small until you have furnished a whole cottage.
Salt tested
Outdoor pieces spend a season on a real coast before we list them.
Named makers
Every listing names the workshop. If we cannot name it, we do not carry it.
Paper packing
Recycled card, paper tape and wool wadding. Nothing plastic in the box.
Forty-five days
A prepaid label and no questionnaire about why it did not suit.
Letters from the harbour
New arrivals, restock notes and the occasional word from the workshop. Twice a month, never more.
